Award winning guitarist James Howard (2012 “Best Blues Guitarist” in Lee Ritenour's “Six String Theory Global Guitar Competition,“ 2016 Washington Blues Society winner selected to compete in the International Blues Challenge in Memphis Tennessee, semi-finalist in the 1996 Jimi Hendrix Electric Guitar Competition), is today an accomplished singer/songwriter/guitarist/band leader and music producer. He has produced five of his own CDs in addition to producing CDs and tracks for other artists.
James is a prolific improvising live performer with his own blend of singer-songwriter, Blues, Jazz and Rock music. In 1998, James wrote, produced and performed his first full length original music CD, called Electric Rain, the release of which garnered stellar reviews. James' gift of guitar and music composition mastery has seen him perform flamenco guitar at Benaroya Hall in Seattle backed by a 25 piece orchestra. He even played country guitar in Loretta Lynn's granddaughter Tayla Lynn's band. Currently James is producing an album by artist Chuck Cossan and ramping up for the 2022 tour!
