Every project is priced individually, and based on such factors as: square footage, wall/surface type, obstacles (windows, doors, etc.), height of the wall, cost of supplies, travel distance, detail of work, difficulty of finish, and the estimated time to complete the project.
I first provide a design consultation to discuss your individual design needs and to give you an estimate for your project. This usually takes 1 hour and cost $50 (This includes the designing fee that is applied to the cost of the project) and is preferred to be at the desired location of the project - It is impossible to give an estimate, even a ballpark one, over the phone without having seen the space to be painted.
In general, please expect projects to cost approximately for labor only:
§ $8 to $10 per square foot for simple designs (example: Stripes)
§ $15 per square foot for moderately complex designs (example: Multi Layer with no blending)
§ $20 to $25 per square foot for complex designs (example: Faux finish with design)
Cost for special materials, such as specific colors, glazes, and rollers are not included in the quote. These items are determined and purchased on an “as needed” bases only. Often I may already have some of these materials on hand and do not require a reimbursement.
For jobs outside a 30-mile radius from Ferndale, MI, basic travel expenses may apply (fuel cost). Specific amounts will be included with your quote
