All of the work I make under the name Every Kind of Art. In 2021 I received my BFA in 2D at The University of Toledo Ohio.
My current body of work is about embracing the randomness of life. Making art for me is about making some one feel something. Everything around us resonates energy. I have stopped making what I think people with buy. I let the energy guide my buyers. This method has worked well for me. When making sun catchers and jewelry it's all random. I don't make plans I make randomness.
I have been working with Lake Erie beach glass. The glass is found on a beach that is 4 miles long. This site was an old bottle dump for decades. The Maumee River shoreline is covered with old industrial glass. I call this glass trash glass. Owen's Corning and Libbey Glass are just 2 companies that make glass in this area. In the early days trash glass was dumped in the Maumee River. With these two locations I have a vast area of glass to work with. The sun catchers are made with this glass. I collected driftwood from the beach. Hemp rope to secure the wood and glass.
Jewelry is bought for many different reasons. I make jewelry using beach glass, stone, and other materials. People are drawn to my work. I want to help them find the energy they need. I made jewelry out of beach glass, stone, feathers and fossils.
