We are a non-profit organization, located in beautiful southwestern Illinois, dedicated to collecting, preserving, and sharing historical artifacts, records, and family genealogies from Jersey County's rich past. Since 1998, when the Cheney Mansion was donated to the Jersey County Historical Society, our facility has grown to include our Genealogy Research Center, Museum, and five additional historic buildings Lone Star School, Union Forest Church, McAdams Log Cabin, Plummer Log Cabin, and Hagen Log Cabin.
