My background in aesthetics began back in 1999 where I had the opportunity to co-create Green Planet Potions, then later became Simple Apothecary, a local, hand created skin care line which began in Olympia, WA. by Green Planet Potions., where our products were sold to almost 3000 stores over the U.S. including PCC and Whole Foods. The concept shifted from store sold product, a Day Spa & Boutique., where I received my Reiki training.
Since then, I've had the experiences of being a Spa & Boutique Owner, Body Care Manufacturer and eventually a Nationally Licensed Esthetician. When in Dallas, my spa's received a lot of press and was even voted The Best place to get facial. It was an amazing experience. Through this process I've grown to understand the importance of and knowledge of ingredients, their freshness in nature and effectiveness on our skin. With this experience and time under my belt, I still haven't lost my love and passion for this industry.
Lotions for a Cause
The idea behind the creation of these lotions has a philanthropic origin. A local product created that could be sold to help support a cause, whether it be to help fund raise for medical bills of a brother or sister fighting cancer... or for a family who've recently lost everything in a house fire. These are just some examples.
However, I never knew, that my family would ever need to use them in the midst of developing this idea, for our own use so suddenly. My Mother, Orpha, was diagnosed with lung cancer in October, 2012, and has since had a major lung surgery. And every few weeks since January this year, she's undergone regular infusions at SCCA. She's a trooper. So, here we are selling these amazing lotions for her cause.
