Handmade by JoDee is me, JoDee Braeme Vale. By trade, I'm a licensed massage therapist, board certified holistic health provider, energy worker and maker of handmade soaps and skin creams and lotions. I've been making my own massage lotions and creams for about 16 years because I've never been impressed with commercial products and all their unnecessary and potentially dangerous ingredients.
Since our skin is our largest organ, nothing should go onto it that you couldn't go into your mouth. The only concession I make is for a preservative. Lotions and creams that have water in them must be preserved, so I've selected the safest one currently on the market, and as soon as an even safer one appears, I'll be switching to that.
Because of my own chemical sensitivity and some autoimmune issues, I began to make more of my own personal care products so that I could control the ingredients and have fewer reactions. In the process of evolving products that work for me, I began to offer them to my clients, many of whom are repeat buyers. And so it grows.
