Julie is received very well overseas as well in the United States. She is inspired by great songwriters like Becky Hobbs ("Angels Among Us") and the all time great Loretta Lynn. They have influenced her in her songwriting.
Before moving to Nashville, Tennessee she was born in southern New Jersey but country was what she grew up listening to as her father was raised in Eastern Tennessee. She had her own band for 7 years before moving. After spending some time listening in the background, Julie is now a welcomed addition to any songwriter's night in Nashville and has developed a following for her appearances.
Julie has enjoyed playing her songs for people all over the world. She has made two tours to Europe to include, Belgium, Netherlands and Germany. In 2008 she was invited to perform on the Tamworth Country Music Train in Australia along with her friends Becky Hobbs and Kacey Jones. The three weeks was an awesome experience and plans to go back again in the future.
On her time off she enjoys fishing, spending time with friends and just "pickin" on the porch or around a campfire. She is a down-to-earth girl with a down-home feel to her music. She is a people person and always keeps in touch with her fans. Julie also has a soft spot for children in need and has performed for various organizations to help raise money for needy children or children with chronic or life-threatening illnesses. That is why she formed her own organization "Kisses for Kids Foundation", a 501(3)(c) non-profit company. She continues to organize fundraisers to help all children.
