Every single moment of our lives takes a part in the sum total of who we really are. For me, it's quite simply Color and Texture. It started at the very beginning at the base of my Grandmother’s knees, when she explained to me that I should watch her closely and learn all that I could because one day she wouldn’t be there. It didn’t mean much then but it means a whole lot now and over the years throughout School and life. Things just came easy because of her.
I work with all kinds of fiber, mostly natural or recycled. I turn them into objects that I love and hope others do too. I like to make things that people can carry or wear that are comfortable, easy, and exciting. They must feel Special in them and smile when they look at how beautiful they look in the mirror.
I work in all forms of Fiber Art, but I’d say Hand weaving & Painting are my first loves. The sewing, knitting, crochet, appliqué etc., are a great way for me to add to the Hand woven projects.
Do to my love of color I’ve been know to pick up a brush and render an image whenever the desire arises. My Hand painted Suede and Leather Bags and Capes were born out of this urge.
The bottom line is I have followed my Passion and hope that, through my work, I bring pleasure to those who are inspired by my work.
