I started my fiber art business 6 years ago because I love crocheting, knitting and sewing. I am a nurse by profession but I have been making things since I was 5 years old because it was fun. Creating fabric art is a passion and my husband encouraged me to begin my business because I can work for myself and work the hours I choose. I can travel and stay at home and babysit my twin grandchildren and still create the things I love. I love to work with colorful yarns and fabrics that inspire me and that have nice textures. I love to create fashion accessories that are beautiful and one of a kind pieces. My husband is an architect but is also an artist and sells prints of his artwork too. We both enjoy the art of working with our hands so that's how the name of our business got started. We have just begun the process of creating our website and will have items for sell through the website. We live on a beautiful farm in the mountains of North Carolina that gives us so much inspiration for our work. I also an a native of these wonderful mountains and come from generations of family who have enjoyed creating beautiful art with their hands.
