Inspired by my love of salt, sand and surf, living on Padre Island, TX and finding a deep love of unique fine art, I create artpieces that reflect this beauty. All artpieces are composed on glass and framed using upcycled frames. Seashells are the obvious focal points of my art, however, I use a variety of natural specimens found on our seashores, including driftwood, various sands, local flora, carapaces, rock and other items washed ashore. The compositions I envision can be traditional, coastal, modern, contrasting views. It's truly fascinating to sit down at my work table with a blank glass canvas and start a piece. Whether I am creating one of a kind hand cast mermaids for my artpieces or selecting the perfect shells and rock to reflect my vision for an art piece, I never really know how my final piece will finish, until it is nearly complete. I spend hours on the final touches, creating waves, surf, depth in each unique piece.
