I have been working in the arts for a long as I can remember. Art is something that truly lives in my spirit. Painting, jewelry making, sewing whatever the art is I take it with passion. For the longest time, I was a jewelry maker. I was in stores around town and did a number of shows. Once I became a mom it was very hard to work with my beads, silver wire, and chemicals because, well I never fully trusted that my boys would not try and make toys out of my silver and beads. I had to put those away for a while and honestly putting my art away was really hard on me. I truly felt like a piece of me was missing.
Moving into my life as a mandala painter. I have always collected rocks. Mostly flat rocks and river rocks. I discovered this art a few years ago and thought that it was something I can do and be a mom at the same time. This has now turned into a huge love and passion of mine. I have done shows and gifts of my mandala paintings. I also found an artist in England who makes wood rounds specifically for Mandala painting and that is where I get my wooded rounds from.
