I live on the east coast of Florida with my husband of 35 years. I am a grandmother of 3 very energetic grandsons. I started glass fusing about 5 years ago.
I have taken several classes with local artists. Done the big Glass and Bead Expo in Vegas, 5 days of classes. But mostly I have read and purchased almost every book/video written on glass fusing.
My brother-in-law finally talked me into going public with my work. So I just started showing in October of 2009. It has been both frustrating and rewarding and always a learning experience.
I had some of my pieces in the Artist Guild Gallery in Vero Beach, Florida. I have also had pieces in the Vero Beach Art Museum.
I work on my glass in my garage that my husband turned into a workshop for me. I try to make my pieces fun and useful. With my fused glass pieces you can have attractive and functional.
I make jewelry, plates , platters, key chains. ornaments, hair baretters, letter openers, windchimes, bowls, candleholders, picture frames, art, vases, and just so much more. I have carried my art into the practical where fused glass proves that everyday items can be beautiful.
I just purchased my third kiln while in Vegas. It is big enough for all my projects and all the experimenting that I want to do.
I look forward to seeing you at a show in the future.
