After 30 years of writing about the colors, textures and shapes of fashion, I turned to creating colors, textures and shapes in jewelry.
My journey started with stones. I've collected gemstones for many years. I love the color, the sparkle and, most of all, the stories behind the stones. It seemed a natural progression ... from collecting stones to creating the settings for them.
Clean lines, compelling statements and elegant looks are what I strive to achieve in my handcrafted, contemporary pieces. My jewelry is created for the boardroom and the ballroom. It is about richness in texture and shape, in color and pattern. The glow of copper plays against the shimmer of textured silver. A slender thread of golden brass ambles around the dark roughness of oxidized and textured silver. I add to the foundation of metal, the intriguing colors and patterns of jasper or agate cabochons, the sparkle of a faceted peridot or the mystery of a quartz containing pyrite or lepidochrosite.
