For me, this craft is a happy one. After my grandmother taught me how to crochet as a young girl I made a few items off and on over the years, but did not earnestly begin until after my mother passed in 2009.  I began crafting handbags and I find motivation and inspiration in the creativity it requires.  I add a special touch to some of the purses with embellishments and unique findings from antique stores and thrift shops.  When my friends saw what I had been making, they wanted to have one.  So after giving several as gifts it was suggested I try to market them.  My collection began to take shape and my production began increasing.

My handbags are the reflection of my hands' dexterity at interpreting, in a unique way, what's in my imagination. Sometimes I even dream that I'm creating new designs with different color varieties and combinations. From there, I added the fringe scarves and jewelry to my shop because I love color and the challenge to create a unique piece of wearable art.  This work is a kind of therapy for me and in general keeps me company in day-to-day living. I cannot conceive a life without it!
