My husband, Lynn, and I own LAKE STATE BBQ, a small family run business, is a 8' x 28' custom Southern BBQ food trailer (licensed as a Mobile Food Kitchen) out of Brooklyn Park, MN. Our oldest daughter, out of 10, Amanda is our manager.
Growing up down South, a Texas boy born and raised, Lynn has been smoking meats ever since he could lift the top on the iron pit his daddy had in their backyard. You might say it's in his blood.
LAKE STATE BBQ specializes in Smoked Chopped Beef Brisket and Hand Pulled Pork. Our meats are smoked low and slow for the maximum amount of hours per cut making it literally fall apart.
We also offer Smoked Shredded Chicken, Andoullie Sausage, Smoked 💯% All Beef Hotdogs, Smoked Turkey Legs, Breakfast Burritos (upon request) and our secret family BBQ Sauce recipe, past down from several generations.
LAKE STATE BBQ also offers Gluten Free options for almost all of our menu items. LAKE STATE BBQ has a GF protocol that is strictly followed -- changing gloves and utinsils prior to making a GF order
We also offer various side, drink and dessert options.
LAKE STATE BBQ caters corporate functions, family gatherings, we setup at festivals--fairs and retail locations throughout Minnesota. Basically, if your event goers are hungry or if there is an event where food would fit -- we will show up! We sell our meat by the pound (lb) also.
