My first step as an artist was when Covid hit and I ordered a watercolor kit for me and my husband. A giraffe and sea turtle. He declined and did them both and I found a labor of love.
I still love both the peacefulness as well as the thrill of success and the agony of defeat. It's miraculous, in my inexperienced eyes, creating "3D" on 2D, the colors, the challenges, the infinite learning curve.
I love the solitude AND I love going to festivals and connecting with an audience. The feedback is invaluable.
