My name is Barb Airgood. I am a wife, mother of 2 wonderful adult children with wonderful spouses, and "grammy" to 2 beautiful granddaughters.
A dear friend and I would sit in Barnes and Nobles every Friday afternoon sipping our favorite coffee drink looking at beading magazines. We would say to each other, wouldn't it be fun to quit our jobs and start making jewelry together. Of course, we were dreaming. Well one day, I decided to start. I started simple...a pair of earrings or a bracelet...just for me to wear... plus it was something for me to do on Sunday afternoons while my husband watched football. Well, from there it grew and grew until finally my husband told me that I needed to try to sell some of it. A friend of mine was big into crafts shows several years ago and I always thought that it would be really fun to do something like that, so I started down the path of craft shows last summer. It was definietly a learning experience. I absolutely love it. I am fortunate enough have a husband that is willing to help me out.
I design and make, by hand, each piece using genuine gemstones, swarovski crystals, czech glass beads & crystals, and sterling silver. I make necklaces, bracelets, earrings and a line of childrens bracelets, "The Abby Collection", that is dedicated to the memory of my precious granddaughter.
