Levi Riggs was born in Danville, Indiana. He lived in Amarillo, Texas as a kid and grew up and finished High School back in Danville, Indiana. He then sang tenor in the world-famous Purdue Varsity Glee Club for four years.
Today, Levi sings country and gospel music for audiences nation-wide. He has performed live all over the United States and abroad over 500 times since 2003.
Performance highlights with the Purdue Varsity Glee Club include: Singing at President Bush's re-election, Performing at Indian Creek Country Club in Miami, FL, Leading worship in the Crystal Catherdral in Garden Grove, CA. Raising his voice in Carnegie Hall, Wailing on Country songs all across the MidWest, Being heard on Nationally Broadcasted Radio with Garrison Keillor and dobro magician, Jerry Douglas on A Prairie Home Companion, entertaining at the highest point in Dublin, Ireland...the Guiness Brewery, and many others!

Country music is home to Levi, who grew up in rural Danville, Indiana working on his grandfather's dairy farm. “To me, country music is the voice of America. It speaks to our daily life. At my shows, I sing rockin' fun songs and love songs. I thank our veteran's for protecting our freedom and I sing 'How Great Thou Art' to thank God for His blessings.”
Highly anticipated is his first world-wide single release of his original song, F-150, due out in March of 2010. “I can't be more excited to launch this song! My fans here in Indiana love it and I know it will fly up the country charts,” he exclaims.
In addition to the excitement brewing in his solo Country career, Levi is also the lead singer for The Overtones, a quartet that specializes in Inspirational Country/Gospel music. He describes himself as a passionate person with strong beliefs, great conviction and lofty purpose, with a focus on what he views is God’s plan for his life. In 2008, he launched his first self produced CD with his own original songs.
“God put those songs on my heart,” says Riggs, who wrote the lyrics for many of the songs on his CD. “You can go through some trying times as a young adult. I think songwriting provides a God-glorifying way to deal with situations and feelings that many young people face in their lives. I pray that my message in song helps accomplish that for those who hear my music.”
Whether he’s ringing chords with The Overtones or performing solo with his country band, Levi brings an energy and enthusiasm to the stage that sets him far apart from other artists. Levi has tireless drive and focus, a strong persevering attitude, and a passion for everything he does on stage and in the studio.
