After the birth of my first child and subsequently quitting the corporate life, on a whim, I self-taught and started making beaded name bracelets for the tots in my daughter's playgroup. The moms loved the baubles so much, I found myself creating bracelets and anklets for them, their family members, birthdays/christenings/Bat Mitzvahs, etc... This unintended "situation" revealed a passion for creating beautiful jewelry I never knew existed within myself. After talking with, and learning new techniques at jewelry exhibitions and from owners of bead stores in my area, I knew I had to take my passion to a new level, and decided to launch my own small business, Lilac, LLC. Today, after several years of testing out different genres and styles of jewelry, I've found my niche and absolutely love to create pieces that include genuine materials such as precious and semi-precious gemstones and hand-crafted charms and pendants using PMC.
