Linda J Bean, Fine-Art Paintings in oils and in acrylics. When I paint, I am attracted to intense color. I also enjoy the use of line, contrast, and texture to give the illusion of form, and to entrance the mind. I find that, just as the act of seeing deeply brings calmness to the mind, the act of painting brings a similar result. At this time, it is easy to focus on the act of painting, letting go of everything else, becoming one with the creative energy. I feel my painting is successful if it can affect a viewer with a similar sense of peace and delight.
