COOLSPOOLs are handcrafted kaleidoscopes. The COOLSPOOL came into existence in June of 2013 when Kim and Linda were given a box of "craft" stuff. As it turns out, this "craft" stuff consisted of the empty thread spools that were being discarded from a sock mill in Ft. Payne, Alabama. Never being ones to throw away stuff that they could "create art" with, Kim and Linda were left pondering the true meaning of all these cool little tubes.
Linda came up with the kaleidoscope idea, but had no clue how to make one. But after extensive research, lots of trial and error, and a bounty of technical advice from Kim...the COOLSPOOL was born..... and the rest is history.
