I have always loved working with my hands and being creative not caring if it was messy. I started exploring ceramics in January of 2010 after losing 3 very influential people in my life. Working with clay became a creative and theraputic healing process for me and also provides me with a great community of peers that inspire and support me. Participating in local art and craft fairs selling handmade ceramic jewelry and accessories was my first venue. I also participated by entering local exhibits and contests. At the Clark County Fair in Logandale NV, and The Nevada Clay Guild also had a call to artists for Library Show. At the time I was focusing on selling jewelry pieces I created and those events taught me to slow down. Right now my focus is to soak up all the knowledge available and see where the tides take me. "Life is about the Journey... Not the destination" Is my new motto. Although it is important to chart a goal and have a plan it is just as important to look up from the map not focusing on the X to see the possibilities ahead. They may take you off course but will be enriching.
