Founded in 2006, Little River Arts Council is a non-profit, tax-exempt organization that enriches the quality of life for people in Mentone, AL and neighboring communities by raising funds for the arts; sponsoring events; providing educational opportunities; and strengthening cultural resources for the benefit of all businesses and citizens in the Mentone area. Our Festivals include Follow Your Art, 1st Saturday in September, 10 am- 3 pm. At the MERF House Pathway to Community Walking Track, 4561 AL-117, Mentone, AL Arts & Crafts; Music; Storytelling; Sidewalk Chalk Art Contest. Creative Spirit Market, Saturday & Sunday of Veteran's Day weekend in DeSoto State Park's picnic area (County Rd 89, Ft Payne, AL). An open air showcase, with artist demonstrations, locally- and regionally-created fine and folk art, premium hand-crafted goods, live acoustic music, and a free interactive art area where market-goers can make their own art.
