LizarDesigns is the culmination of all the crafty things I enjoy doing.
A little background on me: I have loved cooking for as long as I can remember, whether it was just helping my mom in the kitchen as a child, or gathering my friends as guinea pigs for my latest culinary creation. I also can't remember a time when I wasn't doing something crafty, creating my own greeting cards, designing calendars, DIY wedding stuff, painting, etc..I pretty much live and breath anything creative.
I started making jewelry about 15 years ago just for fun to match a particular outfit of my own. When people started commenting on my items, I branched out making a few pieces here and there for family and friends. Then for my own wedding and a few others I made the jewelry for the Bridal Parties! Two summers ago, a friend opened a shop in Downtown Racine, and wanted LizarDesigns as a retail line in her store (of course I said yes!). And now On A Whim has two locations in Racine and Kenosha. I also sell at a few craft fairs in the Racine, Kenosha and Northern Illinois area. All my pieces are one of a kind, so if you can't find anything in the store that you like, please contact me and I'll make something custom just for you!
A few years ago, my husband encouraged me to gather my favorite original “Liz-creations” and put them into a cookbook, which resulted in “A Kitchen Addiction”, a collection of 24 full-color recipes with shopping lists, tips and candid comments from my friends who volunteered to taste-test each item… everything you need to create something delicious for you and your family.
