About
Lori Gilmore
A late blooming artist, I started studying with Charles Brindley in Nashville TN. Also, taking classes to study technique at Watkins College of Art and film, my art has become a part of me.
I was picked to participate in the montly Gordon Jewish Community art show and have participated in several student and art group shows in Nashville.
I paint from feelings as well as what I see around me, meaningful people, places, pets and children. One of my newer paintings began from the feeling of sorrow or loneliness and I painted the scene around the figure which initally represented me in that feeling.
I paint from my home and class art studio. I love both ways to paint, with my support group artist friends and wonderful teacher, and alone with some good music behind me.
