LouWeez Cookies, Chicago, IL
My name is Dawn Louise and have always been called, Weez, from the day I was brought home from the hospital. Louise is a family name, and we have five generations of women with that wonderful name. LouWeez Cookies started during the pandemic. It was trial and error, recipe taste tested and re-tested. After many samples sent to friends and family, LouWeez Cookies was born!
My mom was a cookier, she was also an RN, single parent, and insanely creative. She sewed, knitted, quilted, embroidered, counted cross stitched and scrapbooked! She wasn't a very good cook but she was a GREAT cookie baker! Every December she would bake 22+ dozen cookies and invite all of her co-workers kids to out house to decorate them! She also had a massive cookie cutter collection! I'm guessing I have over 2,500 cookie cutters from her and I am still adding to the collection every season!
