I am a hobby artist, and I use scrapped brass and steel parts from the shop where I work to build abstract figures.  At my work place, we rebuild underground mining equipment and so some of the mechanical parts are rather unusual. After working there for a time and seeing these things thrown in the scrap bin, I was "inspired" to stay after work one night and weld some of them together. After making a couple of figures, I was hooked. Now I spend my lunch break creating more.

 My art work is abstract and sometimes even difficult to title. Actually, I think giving a piece a title makes it less abstract; I like to let the viewer come away with their own impression. 

 I don't know if it's really "art", but I hope some people will enjoy seeing my work. or hobby.
