Scentsy uses a low-watt light bulb in its warmers to melt a fragrant, specially-formulated wax, maximizing the time of the fragrance. A Scentsy bar, which is 3.2 fluid ounces when melted, comes in a solid bar of 8 cubes. You typically melt between 1 and 3 cubes at a time, depending on how strong you want the scent to be. One Scentsy scent bar typically lasts 60-80 hours, outlasting a candle three times its size. They are different from candles in that there is no flame, soot, smoke, or lead. This makes it a much safer, cleaner alternative to candles.
