Marta Hotell - Moments of Metal

Marta Hotell’s aesthetic is apparent in who she is and how she gives. It’s captured in her commitment to her two- and four-legged family members, nature and the environment, her home design and entertainment style.
After twenty-five years in the high tech industry, she shifted her focus and today is a prolific artist with a range from impressionism to realism, painting with both charcoal and acrylic.
Her greatest artistic passion, the transformation of ordinary and crafted metals into unique sculptures, began in 2006. She searches for "left behind" pieces of scrap metal that—when combined with other objects and more of the same—seem to take on an inspired life of their own. She nurtures them into finished forms then releases them to share the hold they have on her.
