I am a pastel artist & since semi-retiring from the work a day world, I finally have enough time to devote to my artwork. I love doing portraits of both animals and people.
I also paint with oils, mostly scenery right now, hopefully in the near future, I will develop my skills well enough to include portraits to my list of oil painting skills.
I do commission work, and have had a very sucessful time with them, each one being loved on the first viewing of their finished work. I have won both first places and best of show at the Lincoln County Fair, as well as other placements there. So far that is the only competetion I have entered, so I am very pleased with my happy results! I do plan on trying to enter some other juried shows and plan to continue commission work. (Have to pay for my supplies you know!) LOL...it is so special finally getting to pursue art, after many years of making a living, now I am really living, at last!
