When I was a teenager I attended Hollywood Art Center in Hollywood,CA. That is where my talent for drawing was cultivated. I continued to draw throughout my adult years, but discovered a love for oil painting. Almost immediately I began showing and selling my paintings in California and Nevada. I was successful, my art well received, and I collected many awards including a best in show. My paintings always told stories depicting the old west as well as gold rush days. I continued to display and sell my paintings and prints until 1985.
For many years I worked in the administrative field and my art was put aside. When I moved to Oregon three years ago my mind and heart turn to my paintings, I massage my old ones and create new ones, I'm getting excited. The jewelry making came out of storage and I;m actively selling both on Etsy.
I live in Salem, Oregon, where the rustic beauty of the farms, the magnificent mountains and wild rivers renews my avid passion of telling stories in paintings and drawings. I am studying, painting and drawing scenes from the wonderfully rich history of the pioneers that endured the hardships of settling Oregon. My paintings reflect my fascination with the Northwest.
