Who are we?
Formed in March of 2012, The Maryland Promotions Team started as a talented and dedicated group of local artisans, crafters, bakers and vintage Maryland Etsy shop owners. Now, almost 300 strong, we've opened our membership to any and all Maryland handmade and vintage small business operators.
In 2013 The Maryland Promotions Team were the proud recipients of an Etsy Fellowship Grant. This honor is awarded to only about 65 teams, out of thousands, per year. We were awarded the grant to assist with our work in the community.
What is our mission?
The Maryland Promotions Team’s mission is to help each other achieve our goals through mutual promotion, help each other grow our businesses by offering advice and sharing ideas and to build a strong and supportive community among our members.
In the community.
The Maryland Promotions Team are making a name for ourselves by partnering with local commercial business to hold two large Craft Fairs per year. One in spring, dubbed The Spring Thing and our Fall Frolic. Additionally, we hold several smaller all handmade fairs on a smaller scale. These shows showcase not only the talent of our team, but reach out to the community for artisans who haven't yet had the opportunity to join an online site like Etsy.
We believe in giving back, so each event involves a cause that we somehow support at our event. In addition to the group cause, you'll often find our vendors donating to charities of their own choosing and you'll always find a teenager or two running around that the team has hired to help out while earning a little spending money but more importantly gaining experience.
