2023 International Blues Challenge Winner and 2023 Best Guitarist. Mathias Lattin is an emerging young Texas guitarist and a product of the acclaimed Kinder High School for Performing and Visual Arts. He's heavily influenced by music legends B.B. King, Johnny “Guitar” Watson, Albert Collins, and Wes Montgomery. Mathias's vast love for music is reflected in the soulful blues, jazz-inflected chords, and funky bass lines. At only 20 years old, he has shared the stage with the 2018 IBC Winner, Keeshea Pratt, BMA winner Annika Chambers-Des Lauriers, Grammy award winner, Christone "Kingfish" Ingram, 2022 IBC finalist and 2022 B.B. King Entertainer of the year, D.K. Harrell. The Living Blues Magazine's review of his debut EP “Let's Start Here” determined “…there's enough promise here to mark him as an artist to watch.” As he paves his way in the Blues, Mathias is on his way to creating his own legacy through his music.
