The camera has been a part of my life since I was a little girl and received a hand-me-down Fisher-Price camera. For most of my life the camera has been just something to take pictures with so I could look back and remember what a goofball I was (or still am). However, often I was told that while most people take pictures...I take "photographs". We all see the world differently; I just tend to see it through the lens of a camera.
With all the technological advances of today it seems like just about everyone either has a high-grade camera or knows someone that does. Maybe I am a bit old fashion, but I like to keep things simple. Sure, I own a couple of D-SLR rigs, but my workhorse is a Canon 35mm film camera. Yes, I said film! There are tons of effects you can do with the latest editing software; however, I prefer to do all my work in the camera. To me editing should be just that...editing; for cropping and removing the few dust particles that always seem to exist when scanning. Letting the simple light box do what it is capable of and nothing more is my philosophy.
