Mel's Recycled, Reused and Revamped
My name is Malinda a.k.a. Mel.
I'm a self-taught artisan and my art is all about reusing and recycling discarded materials that would otherwise end up in a landfill and remaking them into truly unique and beautiful works of art.
Excluding my custom matted, special-order Dog Breed prints, my creations are made from at least 80% reused or recycled materials and are 100% handmade by me.
My materials come from recycle bins, thrift stores, trash bins, and off the roadside.
My display fixtures are even made from reused materials such as old ladders, broken dog crates, unused tomato cage and a grill from a Kenworth tractor.
I get my inspiration from everything around me. Everything I make was designed by me - no kits or pre-made plans were used. Before I start a project, I envision how it will look once I'm finished with it and figure out along the way, how to actually make it.
When you purchase one of my creations, it's truly a one of a kind.
