I am known in the art world as the Metal Man because my medium is metallic acrylics. Self-taught, I have been painting since elementary school. My style is abstract. Unlike representational art, which relies on static objects to duplicate or mirror reality, abstract art relies on fluid shapes and colours to evoke or suggest the experience of reality. In the early 20th century, the term was applied to Cubist and Futurist art, two movements rebelling against the faithful replication of external appearances. Instead, they aspired to capture nature by reflecting its immutable qualities. Cubism and Futurism inspired movements in music, as well.
