Born in Decatur, Illinois and retired from the corporate world. As a woodworker she is always on the lookout for fallen trees in the woods or roadside to create gifts of distinction. Michelle strives to bring out the natural beauty of wood through the creation of furniture, bandsaw boxes, vases, wine trays, candle holders and other unique wooden pieces. Her pieces are created from exotic, spalted, burl, and various woods which Mother Nature has uniquely marked. Michelle hopes to move the viewer of her work by combining the beauty of the individual characteristics of various woods with a strong form to support that beauty.
