Mike Ramsey, Charlotte, NC
Mike Ramsey, the native North Carolinian, has come a long way since the beginning of his musical career which started around the time he was sixteen. At first, he seemed to be just another teenager with a guitar, however, Ramsey's natural ability and talent would quickly be evident to those who heard him play. Initially, he played beach and country music with his grandfather, which would play a large role in shaping his current sound.
Following high school, Ramsey attended the University of North Carolina at Wilmington, and not too long after graduation, he would make a move to New Smyrna Beach, Florida which would bring a multitude of experiences both in, and outside of the musical realm. While in Florida, Ramsey would link up with a travelling Christian rock/gospel band that would eventually share the stage with some of the bigger names in the gospel music industry.
Though, home is where the heart is, and Ramsey would soon get back to his roots in Charlotte, North Carolina. In the wake of his return, he would buy himself a Martin Guitar, and begin some of his most serious song writing to date. His experiences, travels, and exposure to many musical genres leads him to where he is now; a twenty-eight year old artist living in the Queen City, and releasing his first solo project titled, Between a View of the Moon.
