My name is Corinne Shultis of Moderately Trendy. I am 24 years old and live in Voorhees, New Jersey. I am a self-taught artist who mostly works with macrame. Despite the fact that I have always been crafty, my experiences with macrame did not begin until the COVID-19 quarantine in 2020. I felt the urge to experiment with a new art medium to keep myself occupied during those difficult times. I'd always been intrigued with macrame home décor, so I decided to give it a shot. My learning experience was filled with trial and error. I wasted a lot of cord at first trying to figure out how to make huge macrame pieces (yeah, for some reason, I decided to start large) and which knots required extra cord. It was a difficult first few months figuring out knots and proportions, but I never gave up! I am quite pleased of how far I have come and am excited to see how much further I can progress in the future.
