We went into this business not wanting to be just another candle company, we wanted to create something unique and artistic, something that stood out. So, with lots of trial and error, we mastered just that. We hand cast an artesian cement blend combined with concrete oxide pigments to create a unique, one-of-a-kind, candle vessel. We then pond/cure/seal for 30 days. After curing we add an all-natural wax that's vegan and FDA approved., we combine that with high grade fragrance oils that contain no carcinogens, toxins or parabens and use an all-natural wooden wick - combined - this creates a super clean burning, non-toxic candle with a repurposable vessel (succulent, pens, etc.)
We came up with the name Moodstruck because there's something magical about fragrance. Our sense of smell is believed to affect 75% of our daily emotions. Scent receptors in the nose connect directly to the section of the brain that is responsible for memory and emotion. This is why a smell has the ability to transport you to a certain time and place, linking back to a particular memory or feeling. A single scent has the ability to create an ambiance, trigger childhood memories, calm frazzled nerves, uplift your spirits and much, much more. Spa-type scents illicit feelings of relaxation and Zen, while the nurturing aromas make us feel warm, cozy and safe.
