Mountain Gypsy is a collaborative effort From Emerging Artists Jenny Bird and Vance Everett From Silt, CO.

Jenny Bird is an emerging artist. Nicknamed "The Swedish Indian" or her Native American name as it translates to English as "Many Thoughts". Jenny was raised near the Wind River Reservation in Lander WY.
Spending most of her childhood at Native American Rendezvous and reenactments, throwing tomahawks
in competitions as she learned art techniques from her various Shoshone and Arapahoe friends.
Jenny creates beautiful Native American pieces, excelling in feather work, painting skulls and hides using traditional textiles, she loves making moccasins, chest plates, chokers and beaded hair pieces.
Jenny also paints beautiful Oil Landscape paintings, acrylic paintings and pencil, with emphasis on animal drawings. Jenny has a habit of slipping unsigned Mandalas into main street flower pots throughout Colorado with a little inspirational message on the back. Jenny has donated her talents painting many murals for colleges and schools in Wyoming and Kansas. Jenny has never sold her work feeling that her art work has so much of herself put into it that it didn't feel right to charge money for it. Jenny taught her friend Vance how to paint and make jewelry  and convinced her that, together, they should share their talents with everyone and created Mountain Gypsy. Having so many art talents, it was very hard for Jenny to narrow the field to join the art festivals and after "Many Thoughts" decided on Oils, Pencils and Ice Agate Jewelry. Jenny thrives for mountain adventures and makes the most out of life. Jenny moved to Silt, CO. in 2020 and can't get enough of the beauty and activities that Colorado has to offer.

Vance Everett is an emerging artist from Colorado. Born and raised in the mountains, he was taught to swim by a badger at the age of seven and spent his high school years wrestling deer and catching wild eagles with his bare hands. Inventor of the Camping Rack and several custom work trucks, being an artist never crossed his mind until meeting Jenny Bird. Jenny knew ha had artistic ability, despite his denial. Jenny knew from the way he cooked and seeing past mirror etchings and metal work, there had to be a medium for him to thrive. Staring Vance on guitar lessons and bead work only to realize his hands were to big for small endeavors. Jenny realized quickly after putting a paintbrush in his hands where his true talent lied, painting the places where he spends all his past time. Creating beautiful Oil and Acrylic Landscapes, Vance has a habit of hiding crystals from Colorado in his paintings. Vance shares a new passion for creating jewelry from rare healing stones, the Ice Agate.
