Hi, I'm Auntie Beth, the original My Red-Haired Auntie. 18 years ago I began creating blankets and doll furniture for my nieces and nephews, continuing a tradition of craft that began with my great grandmother. At My Red Haired Auntie we offer: Exquisite Exotic Wood Cutting Boards and End-Grain Chopping Blocks; Quality hand-made doll furniture at a reasonable price; Nenee’s Soft Blankies for babies and toddlers, that have been made in our family for over 50 years; embroidered aprons for the whole family, and other items for your home hand-crafted from wood and fabric. We also offer, seasonally, crocheted items that are beautifully crafted by a family friend! During the fall and winter, especially, check out our delightful scarves for the whole family!
At My Red Haired Auntie, we believe strongly in environmental sustainability: Blankets and aprons come packaged in reusable muslin bags, which make great produce bags. All of My Red Haired Auntie’s wood products use certified nontoxic finishes (AP certified paint & food-safe glues). All fabrics are pre-washed and pre-shrunk using detergents with no dyes or perfumes. We even buy as much wood as we can that would normally be destroyed or thrown away from other, larger projects-- keeping our environmental imact low. This means that each cutting board we make is a one-of-a-kind, made from whatever I happen to have in stock, in patterns that are pleasing to my eye on that day. We take special orders and we ship both in the US and internationally.
