I am an individual crafter who uses woodburning as an escape. I often post my works on a social networking site but I do not advertise, probably because I enjoy doing it so much. People ask me if I sell my work, and of course I do. My prices are reasonable but I do not give my work away (except as gifts to friends and family). I began with drawing and painting early in my career, but I never believed that art would support my family. Thus, I became an educator.
As a lifelong educator teaching theatre arts, visual arts, and English, my passion is and has always been in the arts, whether it is telling stories, working in the theatre, or doing woodburnings. I started woodburning over twenty-five years ago and have never looked back. When I look at my work from twenty to twenty-five years ago, I can definitely see a progression.
