I began making jewelry a few years ago (2002) when a friend invited me to a seed bead class, learning peyote stitch. I enjoyed that class so much I began learning many more techniques over the years. In 2009, I took my 1st class in "wire-wrapping" & knew I had found what I love to do. Jewelry design has become my career, in retirement , through (& because of) my love of beautiful things.
My jewelry is made entirely by hand, using either small hand pliers &/or my own fingers to coax the wire into the desired form, encasing a natural (polished) stone cabochon. Sometimes my focal "stone" is of a man made material such as: dichroic glass, Fordite or Bowlerite. My wire is always sterling silver &/or 14K gold filled (both the normal gold & also the rose gold). I often add Swarovski crystals &/or metal beads & spacers within the wrap to further enhance the finished product. My goal is to make each piece as individual & unique as it's future owner.
