Nikki Lerner is a gifted singer, songwriter, and musician based in the Baltimore, MD area. A classically-trained singer with a wide range of musical influences, Nikki has shared the stage with a diverse blend of world-class artists, including jazz violinist Zach Brock, Michael W. Smith, The City Harmonic, Ron Kenoly, and Vickie Winans.
A successful crowdfunding campaign on Kickstarter culminated in Nikki's latest solo album, Longings, which was released in November 2013. Longings is an artistic leap forward from her self-titled debut solo EP, both musically and lyrically. Through an eclectic group of songs (blending elements of a capella, jazz, pop, r&b, and even drum & bass), Longings points to the fact that every situation we face in life ultimately stirs up a longing for home.
Nikki's music is a blend of Jill Scott's silky vocals, Laura Mvula's unique vocal and musical arrangements, and Bjork's love of instrumental experimentation.
