Have you been by an amusement park lately and seen an elaborate structure with a bouncing mat at the bottom and wondered what it is all about? Well, what you saw is called a bungee trampoline, the latest craze on the funpark map. But they aren't just for amusement parks - you'll also find them at zoos, swimming pools, shopping malls, water parks, sales promotions, beaches, fairs, festivals, concerts, and any other place where groups of people are gathering for fun.
A bungee trampoline is an attraction at many fairs. There are many different designs of bungee trampolines, but most operate in the same fashion. The participant puts on climbimg harness and is then hooked to several bungee ropes, Those ropes are attached to poles or bars reaching an average of 15 feet above the trampoline platform. As the participant jumps higher and higher the bungee ropes are moved up the poles allowing the participant to reach heights that would otherwise be impossible on a regular trampoline.
