The Havelock Chili Festival and Big Boy Toy Show is the North Carolina State Championship Chili Cook-off. It is held the 3rd weekend in October and the funds raised goes to local non-profit organizations. The Chili Festival is a event sponsored by the Havelock Chamber of Commerce.
