Creator of handcrafted fine jewelry and original watercolor paintings
Artists Bio:. Anni Stafford, a 7th generation Vermonter, is continually moved and compelled to paint the raw beauty found in the local vistas and landscapes of her home in the Northeast Kingdom. She is especially drawn to the remaining wild areas bordering Canada and New Hampshire. This area has always been the domain of logging companies and holds a special spot in her heart as the place where her family has had a hunting camp for the past 80 plus years. Anni has always been making, drawing, creating things from a very early age. She attended Johnson State College in the 70's to major in studio art, and Art History. The practical demands of life found her working as a sign artist; operating her own shop through the 80's and 90's in Essex Junction. Around 10 years ago the call to paint returned, inviting her to explore the unlimited expressions that the medium of watercolor can afford. In her work, she seeks to convey the mystery and wildness of this remote part of the state, and to hopefully inspire those feelings in the viewer. If she can be successful in this process, then every attempt is not wasted.
