Northern Moon began as a hand-poured, small batch, soy candle business out of a small kitchen in Brainerd, Minnesota. As I began to work with many different types of candle vessels, I discovered working with concrete. I create all of my candle vessels using concrete mix and different natural pigments. I use natural soy wax from American grown soybeans. All fragrances are phthalate free and supported with IFRA documentation.
Each of my candle vessels is a unique work of art. I offer clean and re-fill options to keep them out of landfills and encourage re-use of materials.
I have now created other items from concrete using silicone molds. Some of these are holiday and garden decorations.
