Domunique is a singer/songwriter known for her unique vocal style and stage presence which she calls "Electric Soul Energy."
Born and raised in California, Domunique grew up surrounded by music and creativity. With a fashion designer grandmother who sewed outfits for funk legends Sly & the Family Stone and a professional DJ for her mother, Domunique wrote and performed her first original song at age 8.
While attending Howard University, she studied Theater Arts and Jazz Vocals, performing throughout college with local artists and poets though out the Washington D.C. area.
She later relocated to New York City, where she quickly made the artistic community her second family, performing at such notable NYC venues as The Blue Note, Village Underground, Five Spot, Bowery Poetry Club, and Harlem's Shrine nightclub.
Domunique's debut album, "This Love is Rare," showcases her amazing vocal range and style and features guest appearances by keyboardist Chris Rob (John Legend, Anita Baker), saxophonist Lakecia Benjamin (Stevie Wonder/Alicia Keys), drummer/producer Russell Carter, and producer/multi-instrumentalist DJ Kiva.
